Our Lodge

At Nyaleti Lodge & Villa, we believe that travel should be personal, meaningful, and deeply connected to the place you’re visiting. We offer a boutique bed and breakfast experience in the heart of Hoedspruit, one of South Africa’s top ecotourism destinations. Located on the peaceful greenbelt of the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, our stylish lodge and private villa are surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and frequently visited by free-roaming wildlife.

A stunning little lodge, nicely situation in the estate. It has been beautifully decorated inside and out and has an amazing garden. The picnic dinner that Ann prepared for us was fantastic! I am sure this is going to be a thriving business and we wish Ann & Marlon all the very best with their new venture in SA.

Oh man, what a wonderful experience. From the Host being extremely professional with attention to detail, to an amazing breakfast. Cherry on top, Kruger National Park is just a stone throw away. The bed was just out of this world.

We stayed at the Villa. Ann & Marlon are the new owners. They are so friendly and have the best sense of decoration. The gardens are beautiful, and breakfast was tasty. Above all, they arrange fantastic game drives. You don’t need to stay inside the private reserve and pay 3 times more!!!

A lovely contemporary place in a Wildlife Estate. We enjoyed walking through the bush and down to the bird hide and dam. We also loved watching the setting sun and the vast landscape from the viewing platform.

We discovered a very beautiful and clean house. It was a really nice experience to sit either on an upstairs veranda or downstairs terrace, watching the animals during sunset accompanied by a warm garden fire (boma) – and a glass of wine. It was very helpful and caring that Ann advised us in advance to reserve a Game Drive booking, which otherwise would have been fully booked. Ann was always helpful and approachable!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your Check In/Out times?

Check-In hours are from 2-6pm. If you arrive after 7 pm, we do charge a late check-in fee of R250, as we are a small lodge with no night staff.

Check-Out time is at 10:00 am. If you are leaving before 7am, please settle your invoice the night before.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, EFT (for deposit only), and credit cards (Visa/Mastercard) as payment methods. A 50% deposit is required to reserve a room and the balance is due upon check-out.

Are you in a Malaria area?

We are in a malaria endemic area and extra care should be taken during the summer months (September-March). Please use bug spray and consult your doctor before traveling.

When is the best time of year to visit?

Hoedspruit and the surrounding area is a year-round destination. We are in a sub-tropical climate, so for most of the year, it is hot during the day. Game viewing can be at it’s best in the winter months, however, the wet summer season brings full waterholes, lush bushveld, much newborn wildlife, and the summer migrant birds arrive.

Do you have Self-Catering facilities?

We are not a self-catering facility. We kindly ask that you do not bring outside food onto the property. The quaint tourist town of Hoedspruit is only 5 minutes from our front door with many fantastic restaurants to enjoy your lunch or dinner.

Do you allow Pets?

We apologize but the Estate does not allow outside pets. Many owners on the estate have dogs. You can give ours a hug if you are missing your fur baby.

Is smoking permitted at Nyaleti Lodge & Villa?

Nyaleti Lodge & Villa is smoke free indoors. Smoking is permitted outdoors. R500 will be charged for any policy violations.

Do I need a car?

We highly recommend that you have a vehicle to get into town for lunch and dinner. There is much to see and do in the surrounding areas. Many of the main sights can be experienced on a guided tour. Self-driving through Kruger is an amazing experience and should not be underestimated. We can help you reserve a rental car from one of several companies in Hoedspruit.
