Nyaleti Lodge & Villa offers two unique spaces in the heart of the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, where comfort, nature, and a personal touch come together.
Nyaleti Lodge
Located on the greenbelt, the Lodge features three private, en-suite guest rooms, each with its own patio. Detached from the main house, these rooms share a sparkling pool nestled in a beautiful garden and a traditional boma (outdoor fire area) where you can relax under the stars. It’s the perfect space to unwind, listen to the sounds of the bush, and connect with fellow travellers.
Nyaleti Villa
Just 100 meters away, the Villa is a separate home offering a bit more space and privacy. It’s ideal for families or small groups, featuring a stunning honeymoon suite and two additional en-suite guest rooms with outdoor bush showers, all sharing common areas including a pool, TV lounge, viewing deck, and boma. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want extra room to relax, the Villa feels like your own private bush retreat. If you’d like to book the entire villa, please contact us directly. When not fully booked the rooms are offered on-line as individual options for guests.
Both the Lodge and Villa are surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens planted with indigenous flora that attract a wide variety of local birdlife. From cheeky hornbills and vibrant woodland kingfishers to the haunting call of the go-away-bird or the occasional owl, it’s a bird lover’s paradise.
Guests also have access to our elevated viewing platform—a guest favorite. Bring your coffee or a sundowner and enjoy panoramic views of the bush. It’s a peaceful spot for wildlife viewing, sunsets, or birdwatching. We have binoculars and bird books available at reception if you’d like to take your spotting skills to the next level!
Breakfast at Nyaleti
Each morning, we serve breakfast at the Lodge from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM. Start with fresh local juices, homemade muesli, yogurt and fresh cut fruit followed by a hearty, hot breakfast tailored to your dietary preferences. After that, you’ll be ready to take on whatever the day has in store—whether it’s a safari or a lazy day by the pool.
Our Location
We’re just 5 minutes from the center of Hoedspruit, a charming tourist town filled with fantastic restaurants, shops, and cafes. You’ll find everything you need close by—but far enough away that you’ll feel completely immersed in nature.
Inside Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate
The estate itself is home to free-roaming zebra, giraffe, nyala, impala, wildebeest, warthog, waterbuck, and even hyena. While the Big 4 (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino) are not resident here—making it safe for walking and self-drive exploration—you may be lucky enough to spot one of our elusive leopards.
There are well-marked walking trails, cycling paths, and dirt roads throughout the estate, plus three scenic dams where animals frequently gather. With 24/7 security and controlled access, the estate is peaceful, private, and very secure.
About Us – The Heart Behind Nyaleti
We’re a small, owner-run lodge located in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, a private reserve where wildlife roams freely and where conservation and community come together.
Our journey began with a love for travel, wildlife, and the untamed beauty of the Greater Kruger region. After spending many years exploring the world, we knew we wanted to plant roots somewhere wild and wonderful—Hoedspruit was the perfect place. Nestled between Kruger National Park and the Blyde River Canyon, this small town offers unmatched access to the wildlife we love, and the chance to share Africa’s beauty with visitors from around the globe.
We traded the fast-paced corporate life in America for a dream in the African bush. Marlon, a native South African with a lifelong love for aviation, met Ann in the U.S., and together we built a life fuelled by a shared passion for wildlife, nature, and travel.

We are supported by an incredible team—Lorraine, Lucert, and Abraham—who have been with Nyaleti Lodge & Villa since it opened in 2013.
